As we look toward the summer months, I’m reminded of how fortunate we are to live in an area that so beautifully showcases God’s magnificent creation. From the shores of Lake George to the beauty of the Adirondacks, we are surrounded daily by reminders of His handiwork and faithfulness.
This year is especially meaningful for us as a church family. While our nation celebrates 250 years of independence, Bolton Community Church celebrates 220 years of ministry and gospel witness in this community. Think about that — for all but 30 years of our nation’s history, this church has stood as a place where people could come to worship, pray, grow, and find hope in Jesus Christ.
Throughout its history, this church has sought to stand for truth and righteousness. In 1857, this congregation was among the first in the area to take a stand against slavery — choosing to live out biblical convictions even when it was not popular or easy. That same heart for truth, compassion, and community continues today.
For generations, BCC has been a beacon of hope to this community, and by God’s grace, it will continue to be for generations to come. I am grateful for every person who has walked through these doors over the years — whether for a season or a lifetime. Your stories, prayers, service, and presence have all helped shape the legacy of this church.
And no matter where life has taken you, know this: you will always have a seat here at BCC.
