Bolton Community Church exists to serve the purpose of God for this generation. We believe that there are five purposes of the church:
Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry, and Missions
We believe the mission of the church is to make disciples (see Matthew 28:18-20).
Making disciples means that we must “go” and evangelize those who do not yet know Christ.
Making disciples means that we must “baptize” or connect people to the local church through identifying them with Jesus Christ.
Making disciples means we must “teach” those who know Christ to follow and obey him.
Thus, our mission ministry exists to make disciples of all nations (beginning locally and extending globally) by evangelizing, baptizing (connecting believers to a local church) and teaching them to follow Christ.
BCC seeks to accomplish our disciple-making mission through Education, Emphases, and Events.
Education - Focuses BCC on how to fulfill God’s mission and opportunities for mission involvement (evangelism training, mission training, mission videos, mission communications in Sunday School, CARE, and more).
Emphases - Focuses BCC on meeting felt needs. These emphases build credibility in order to share God’s message of love and redemption (Local Food Drives, School Supply Drive, Operation Christmas Child, Backpack Ministry and others).
Events - Focuses BCC on opportunities to get involved personally in missions (local ministry and mission projects, Family Fun Day, partnerships with churches and missionaries across the world, and more).
Missions Partnerships
The BCC Mission Strategy is built on partnerships. Because our mission is making disciples, we believe the best way to accomplish that purpose is to partner with churches (local, national, and global). Where we cannot always be “there” to disciple new believers, these partner churches can and do.
Using Acts 1:8 as a grid for this mission strategy we list a variety of projects and partnerships.
Our Jerusalem – Warren, Washington, & Essex County
CARE, Sunday School Outreach, Worship Services, and Local Mission Projects.
Our Judea – New York State
Support of churches within the state and surrounding area.
Our Samaria – the United States and North America.
Support of our partnerships with churches/ministries across the nation.
Our Ends of the Earth - The World
Support of the mission sponsorships and organizations. Some International Partners are Word Of Life Fellowship and several other international mission partners which we cannot publicize due to the sensitivity of the region in which our partners serve.
